1.    Click here to begin the process. At the File Download screen, click Save.

At the Save As window, I recommend choosing Desktop to make the file easy to find. Then click Save.

The next window gives you the progress of the download. You have the option of having the window close when download is complete.

Next, go to the place where you downloaded the FREERW file and double-click the icon to open the window below. Then click on the Extract all files button in this window.

When the Extract window opens, choose the place where you want to extract the file to, such as the Desktop. Also, check Show extracted files when complete.

In this window, the extracted file is ready for installation. Double-click it.

If you see a security warning, click Run.

If you see the Chilkat Zip Self-Extractor, click to start RadioWorks Setup.

At the Name and Organization Information window, enter whatever information you desire and click OK.

The next window allows you to change the location of where RadioWorks will be installed. You may either click Change Folder and make the change, or (recommended) click OK to accept RadioWorks being installed in the RW folder on the C drive.

You have a second chance to change the location of the RadioWorks folder. When ready, click the large button in the upper left-hand corner.

The progress bar will quickly show you the installation to completion.

When you are notified it is complete, click OK

The next step is to open your C drive (assuming that is where you installed it). You may do this by clicking on My Computer on your Desktop or opening Computer on the Start menu. In either case, double-click on the C drive icon to open it. Find and open the folder you directed RadioWorks to be installed into. In this example, we are using the default, the RW folder.

Find the RW icon. It may or may not be showing the .exe extension, file type: application. Right-click on it to get a menu. DO NOT click on the Start icon.

From the menu, choose Send to, then Desktop (create shortcut). Before closing this window, note in this folder there is the RadioWorks manual (RWManual.htm). If you move it, it must be in the same folder as the RWManual_files folder.

Back at the Desktop, notice the RW – Shortcut icon. You may at this time delete the two FREERW folders, or save them in case you ever need to reinstall.

To start RadioWorks, double-click on the RW icon.

You will see the Welcome to RadioWorks screen, then the screen to choose to log in. Click Yes.

The password is simply pressing the Enter key.

You are now into RadioWorks loaded with sample data which you are free to explore, change, add to.

Most of your daily activity will be found under the Main menu.

When you are ready to start setting up RadioWorks with your own data, do not add your data to the sample data. Instead, open the File menu, then Maintenance, then Restore.

At the Restore screen, click Get File.

You will then be looking into the RadioWorks folder. Find RWCLEAN and double-click it.

That will take you back to the Restore screen where you will find the RWCLEAN file displayed in the Archive file name field. Click OK to clear out the demo data and make RadioWorks ready to receive your data.

When the Restore process has completed, you will then click where indicated in the upper left corner and select Logon.

To log in, press Enter.

You will notice Client Types have been retained from the sample data and you will need to edit the station call letter to the correct station, but all other data is gone. In the event you need to restore the sample data, use the same Restore process as described above, but this will replace any data you have entered, unless you make a backup.

At this point it would be well to consult the RW Training Videos and/or the RWManual.htm (located in your RadioWorks folder).

You have free use of the software without any expiration. Should you need more features, such as billing, or support via telephone, email or Internet, our rates on shown on our home page or you may call us at the number below. Thanks for installing Free RadioWorks.
